Ive just built a new PC, and my XFX 7790 is not being detected properly.

Mobo is MSI 760GA-P43 (FX), Sockel AM3+, ATX, PCIe.

The HDMI and DVI connector on the GFX card is working, but its not being detected otherwise if you get what I mean.

I have tried reseating the card, installing the latest drivers, no difference.

Any ideas? Here is what Im seeing under GPU Z: http://i.imgur.com/poTMy7f.png

does the card need extra power & if so, is it plugged into the powersupply?

Its plugged into the PSU yeah, I have it connected using the PCI-E port on the PSU.

Im using a 430watt Corsair PSU also, I think that is surely enough for my setup (Amd FX 6300, 1 SSD hard drive, 1 DVD drive)

according to this link http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine you need 293 watts which you meet & exceed. see if the card does same on another computer. where did you get the latest video drivers from, microsoft or amd?

I got the latest drivers from the AMD website.
