hello everyone. i have just recieved a file in .xls format. i know this is for ms excel. thing is, my comp has ms works spreadsheet and doesnt recognise it. any ideas how i can convert it so i can open it thanks in advance lethal_b
I can't help with converting the file, but I think that OpenOffice might be able to open Excel documents: Can anyone confirm that?

You can also copy data from Excel Viewer 2003 to another program. However, you cannot edit data, save a workbook, or create a new workbook.
