XP Install Nightmare

    Hi

    I have a Dell lattitude c640 laptop.
    That i am trying to install xp onto.

    The problem i have is that i get severl messages telling me that certain files are not valid windoa system files .
    Which has to be complete BUL as i have just installed onto to a desktop pc with no problems.

    plus the laptop will readily accept windows me .
    All Very Confuseing .

    Any ideas Anyone

    try cleaning the laser lens with a q-tip & alcohol
