XP pro and hard drive

I was told that windows xp will not detect a hard drive bigger than 120 gigs. I just ordered a 160 gig for my primary drive.Will this be ok in XP pro and if not can I and how do I partition it.

You need to be running Windows XP Service Pack 1 or 2 if you are going to use a hard drive larger than 137g.
