err well Glitched i would'nt have told him to download it..it will work though but...you shouldbuythe key. What exatcly did you have done on your computer?, you should've kept the product key written down somewhere as it is quite important.
thnx guys i bought comp on ebay and never recieved any product key it came already installed, just learning about comps at moment whats limewire
Well ok then, youll find your key there i geuss..isnt this thread breaking aD rules?? :s we are not allowed to talk about downloading product keys you know...
Sorry but im only asking for advice on how to retrieve my product key number not asking to do anything illegal
oh i see, you cant do anything illeagal as you dont even know what limewire is lol..limewire is a p2p program that allows you to download prety much anything.
I guess if you had a genuine product key which was legally purchased, but somehow you lost or misplaced it when your computer was fixed you'd use a program like http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml which would retrieve it. Nothing wrong with that is there?
@ umug : That, indeed, would be the only (legal) way to go. @ Fourbus : did you re-install everything on your pc, or did you just clean it up? If you just cleaned it up, the program umug suggested should be able to help you retrieve the key. If you did a clean reinstall, you'll have to buy yourself a new copy of that software (which comes with a new key) @ Glitched : Man, you should know better than give that kind of advice....
Uh, guys I think he needs a Micro$oft Office key. Why would it ask for Windows key when he opens Word or Excel? That keyfinder is kewl though (thanks, bookmarked) and if that's what's required then it should find it okay... When you purchase a PC without an OS disk, sooner or later you will need to reinstall OS (and must face the problem). It's a bit of a nightmare I s'pose, with WinXP Home...? I have a volume-license copy of Professional, thank gawd :^) Regards
I would take it back to the repair shop, after all, before they got their hands on it, it worked! No?
