Parents computer (Dell Desktop) runs XP fine but will not install service pack 2. Stops half way through first checks and states failed. WIndows update does not give any info to whats going wrong. Any ideas??? Thanks Paul
Tried dowloading the SP2 package off the microsoft site and doing an offline install ? If that doesn't work, you can order a cd with SP2 from them *should be free*.
Tried the offline Install, same thing happened. Got the following message 'Setup could not verify the integrity of the file update .inf Make sure the Cryptographic service is running on this computer' Any ideas??? Thanks Paul
