Unfortunately similar isn't close enough with chipods. We need to know the exact make and model to find out where the problem is.. can you link to the original ebay item listing? These things are reasonably generic with the kind of files they play (a real PITA most of the time), but the drivers vary widely.. I'm guessing it didn't come with a driver disk?

You should be able to find the correct drivers here http://www.mympxplayer.org/copying-files-to-my-mp4-player-vp43375.html

When you try to install the drivers from the disk is it giving you a dll error? If not, and it just refuses to install there is a trick which is to make a shortcut from the setup.exe file on the disk to your desktop and then properties>run in 98 compatibility mode ;)
