I have one desktop PC that is connected to my wireless router via a wireless PCI card. It also has an empty/free standard Network Interface Card (NIC). I recently got another used desktop that also has a free NIC. I was thinking just for kicks, that I could could connect the two PC's Network cards and be able to share internet access for the recently acquired desktop. I'm thinking I need a crossover cable to conenct their network cards and share internet access through it, right? Also, both PCs have WinXP professional installed. Again, this is just for kicks and I want to try and do it just to see if I can. Any suggestions?
It sounds like you have it all figured out. there is really no suggestions to give besides connect it all, the only one suggestion (maybe) is you can buy another wireless card instead of a crossover to gain internet connection, that way you can make the other PC mobile (if need be).
Yea, a wireless card of some sort is what I'll probably do in the long run. I happen to have a crossover cable laying around and that was why I wondering if I could do it this way.
