XSNES9X wont quit to evox, just goes to black screen

I have XSNES9X on my xbox and have just put it on another xbox.

It works fine on my 1st xbox which is has a Ex2 chip and 120 gb HD,
but when running on my 2nd xbox which is softmodded with standard hard drive it will work and play roms fine, but when you quit the app it goes to a black screen instead of returning to the evox dash.

I have copied the whole working folder from 1st to 2nd xbox so they should be the same.

the only differences i can think of are:

1st xbox had an "emulators" folder set up on F so i put it in there.
The 2nd xbox didn't have a folder for emulators, in fcat nothing was on F, all the apps were on E so I altered the evox.ini to show a new menu option as "SNES" which pointed to the xsnes9x default.xbe file on the e drive. this seems to work fine but maybe there is something else i must change for it to quit the app properly?
also changed the rom path so it finds them ok.

any ideas?

PS, this may be of importance, i also tried surreal 64 which works 100% on xbox 1, this again lods up fine on xbox 2 but this time wont load any roms. it sees them and lists them but wont load them. this app also will not quit and goes to black screen.

 

there are problems with xsnesx95 or whatever, I had the same problems, use a different emu.

 

Thanks for the reply. I understand that emulators aren't exactly the most stable bits of software out there but I would still like to know exactly what the problem is.

It bugs me that it works so well on one machine and not on the other.

Can I ask what version of evox you are running? I'm not sure which versions I have but i know they are not the same on both machones so i might copy evox over from the xbox it will quit properly on to the other and see if that works.

 

I had a problem that was somewhat the same. Same emulator XSNES9X worked perfectly on one xbox but was tweeky on the other. I ended up figuring out that it ran better on a older version of evox. Now both are running at top rate.
hey chrisfunkn just try ading a emulator folder in you F drive by right clicking on the F drive and choosing new folder. That should starighten out your problem.

I have made the new folder already, i thought it might be something like that. All the routes and oaths are even the same as my other xbox now and i have copied the lines from the evox ini so it's exactly the same on the evox menus. Still wont load the roms.

next thing is to make sure they both have the 'working' version of evox but I've never messed with that before. I'll have to do some more reading 1st.
