xvid and dvd upscaling

    I know there are dvd players that can upscale progress dvd 480p to hdtv format 720p

    I want to k now..can those dvd players upscale xvid movies as well. Most of the movies I download from the internet are xvid

    Hi muheeb,

    I don't know if this player fits your needs as far as the HDTV goes,
    but, the JVC XV-NP10S will definitely play your X-Vids as it does a fine job on all of mine. You can find it here:

    I can't believe how expensive this thing has gotten. I got mine at BestBuy around June of this year for not over $80. I am kind of surprised that there aren't more DivX/XviD players out there. I guess they must figure that everybody wants to watch these on their PCs. Not me. Now I only wish I could find one that can handle WMV. I guess there's no chance of Scrooge (Microsoft) giving us that for a Christmas present.

    take a look at the url link, this dvd player can play xvid, divx...you name it..and it can upscale to hdtv.

    I dont know man..I wanted to hear from someone who has one em dvd players and see weather it can upscale xvid as well or not!!
