    hi again,

forgot to mention i want to know if there is any other program that i could use that would make the conversion faster for me than Win Avi or DVD Shrink . Also what is the difference with DVD+R and DVD-R.

    thanks again

Try FAVC, it's a freeware, AVI to DVD converter that allows the generation of a simple menu (for multiple titles), chapters and adding switchable subtitles (if a .srt file is available).
The output folder can be optionally burned to disk with ImgBurn (included in the package).
This software seems to be getting regular updates and I find it an excellent alternative to vsodivxtodvd.

If your standalone DVD player prefers one over the other, then that's the one to use.
As long as your media is quality like 'Verbatim' or anything 'Made in Japan' and burned at 4x maximum, it's personal preference as to +R or -R.

You can't beat ConvertXtoDVD - it sets the standard that all others follow. There is no difference between + or - DVD discs - just check which type is compatible with your player/burner. Nowadays most will play both. The original + version was created as a marketing ploy by Sony.

Thanks for VSO program it is so easy to use. It maybe a bit much to ask and i am pushing the friendship a bit, but is there a freeware similar to this?

    Thanks
