I usually use winavi to convert my files but it takes me ages. I have dvd shrink and its the same if somewhat a little faster. If it matters i do have fast broadband. thanks everyone ladyred
Conversion is fairly processor intensive so if you have an older processor or a less powerful one, conversion will take some time. Some conversion programs are faster than others as well. ConvertXtoDVD is about the best (and fastest) imho. http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ The easiest solution is to acquire a DVD player that also plays divx files. Most files won't need conversion at all to be playable.
