I have a problem. When i encode an xvid file of a dvd that i have back to an mpeg2 to burn on a dvd. I lose the sound . I just realized its only with files that were rencoded to xvid from a dvd source that this occurs.I am using TMPGEnc source creator to rencode back to mpeg2 format to burn on to a dvd.I tried outputing the sound to wave put what do i do now do i put the wave file in the audio folder after i use dvd author???? I am at a loss with no solutions any help would be appreciated because i have never had this problem with the other dvds ive encoded and then burned!

I assume it's a coincidence, since Xvid deals only with video, and doesn't deal with audio.

Won't it be that those Xvid AVI also have AC3 sound? Try to load it with VirtualDubMod and see it, making Stream:___Stream List. It it has AC3, simply press the 'demux' button and author the DVD with the demuxe AC3 and the M2V you made with TMPGenc.
