xvid file no sound help please

    I just downloaded about schmidt, the film works fine except that there is no sound, when in virtual dub it tells me to check the sampling rate and channel count match them of the requested format. I dont know what this means but if i go to file information it says channels: 5 (Stereo) and the sampling rate is 48000Hz, can anyone help, cheers

    Is the audio codec mp3 or ac3?
    anyways try and find the codecs....
    try nimo's codec pack and install ac3 and mp3 codecs...
