I have burnt 2 different movies which were XviD 1.0 RC3 (Ni hao) and XviD Dev ver. 25-Mar-03 according to Gspot. Both of those movies worked fine but when I try burning this movie that's XviD 1.0.1 to a DVD it skips the first minute then pixels are misplaced throughout the movie. I tried burning the movie to a CD and it just plays the first 20 seconds, freezes then starts over. I'm not sure what the problem is i'm doing everything exactly the same as with the other movies and my dvd player is certified for xvid format, any ideas?

Did you set the codec encoder to defaults before you created
    the avi?
Is the player having a problem with a particular brand(s) of
    disk media?

I diden't encode the video, I only remuxed it with mkvmergeGUI. The dvd player has played all my previous xvid encoded movies so I don't think it's the dvd player.
