xvid playback in wmp10

    I can't get xvid to play in wmp10 or 11 but it plays ok in classic?

    Media Player Classic has some built in splitters and decoders. No XviD decoder though. What container and audio format?

    In Gspot under container I get
    OpenDML (AVI v2.0)
    DivX Style "packed bitstream" AVI
    Interleave: 1 vid frame (42 ms), preload=480
    Audio frames: Aligned on interleaves
    File Length Correct
    Audio
    0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3
    48000Hz 124 kb/s total (2 chnls) LAME3.90.°
    ps
    I cant get media player to play movie trailers
    like the ones from imdb

    WMP should have no real problems with that. Only lacks a video decoder and if MPC can decode the video, then you have one installed. Looks like your dshow filters are probably messed up. Have you been installing codec packs? Try re-registering quartz.dll.

    Yes I installed K-Lite to try and fix the problem.
    Re-registered quartz.dll using Zoom player
    and all is working well.Thnx alot!
