XviD to DivX

    I am using bit torrents and my dvd player(which handles DivX format) will not play XviD. What can I do about this?

    Change the fourCC from XVID to DX50. XviD is an ASP MPEG-4 Part 2 compliant video codec, as is DivX. Think Sony is about the only company to produce a player that couldn't handle XviD's fourCC though. I would imagine that 95+% of all files played on DivX hardware are actually compressed with XviD, not DivX.
