Xvid to DvD best way to get maximum quality ?

    I have tried all kinds off apps , for converteing xvid to dvd . but im not happy with any off them . Does anyone have a app or method that they think gives great quality when converting xvid to dvd ?

    Best way is to leave it as is and burn straight to DVD. This will give you 100% quality and is the only way to get 100% quality. Next step down would be to use a decent encoder like CCE, Canopus, HCEnc and do a multi pass encode.

    celtic_d has it exactly right. If you want high quality from an encode you should be using a dedicated MPEG encoder instead of an all-in-one program. If the audio is MP3 you'll also need a program to encode it to a DVD compliant format. If it's AC3 audio it should be fine already. Once you have your video and audio ready for DVD you need to use an authoring program to prepare the DVD files.

    Ok thanks i will move it to the mpeg forum ... allthough im encodeing xvid

    the audio is mp3

    I've already moved it. And you're not encoding Xvid. You're decoding Xvid to encode an MPEG.
