My dad is a huge reality tv buff so for christmas I bought him a very nice panasonic dvd recorder with a 100gb hdd which he uses ever day! The other night he had a show recording on the hdd while another show was taping in the bedroom on the vcr. This all meant that he missed one of his other favorite shows so I took the liberty of acquiring it through other means. So as you might assume the episode that I have is encoded in xvid. I have read sooo many guides on how to convert this but I still have the urge to ask what is the best way. My goal is simple. To put the tv episode onto a cd or dvd-rw so my dad can watch it as simply as possible. Any input is welcomed and greatly appreciated. TIA.
