    My problem is this....
I have 8 xvid mpeg4 files i would like to put onto 2 or 3 dvd's. I cannot join them with virtual dub because "The video streams have different data formats" ( the resolution is different on them all) should i convert all the files to vcd (mpeg1 ) then join them some how, then convert them back to mpeg 2 for authoring/burning ????? I tried using dv-tool to join 2 of them after i converted to vcd but just got a useless file at the end . There must be an easier way!!!!!
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    TIA
    Blacky

I f you have nero vision just load in your xvids and it will do the rest
if not you could reencode each xvid in virtualdub using filters to make them the same resolution bitrate etc then join them
