I normally use DVD2SVCD to turn DivX avi's to SVCD's. I thought I would try an Xvid but I get an error message 'unable to find Xvid decompressor' I have installed the Xvid codec, anyone know if this can be done and if so what I am missing. Thanx.
First of all, go to your control panel to add/remove programs! then uninstall the xvid codec. download and install the xvid codec from this link http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html
Have now tried this but still getting error message 'couldn't locate decompressor for format 'Xvid''. Have managed to convert with TMPGEnc but DVD2SVCD has made me lazy now with no cutting & burning probs. Thanx for trying to help tho.
