I am having an interesting problem with some video files, encoded in xvid. The files play but not correctly, I do have the codecs installed, according to GSpot neway. - In windows media player the picture is blocky. [check print screen below] - In divx player the sound goes out of sync if you move the slider, I havn't watched a full movie in it so i dont know if this happens if you leave the slider alone. [check print screen below] - In BSPlayer there is sound but no picture. - In core player, its the same as in WMP. - In Mpeg Video Wizard 2003, the file plays fine, but this is trial software which will run out after 30 days -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows Media Player - blocky picture DivX Player - Picture fine, sound goes out of sync michael
To fix the problem, I had to configure ffdshow codecs, so that xvid played with xvid codec and not divx.
