I have an XviD movie with direct AC3 5.1 audio. I want to take out the audio, change it to wav then mp3, then put it back into the video. Not touching the video quality. i used: VirtualDubMod to pull out the AC3 audio ------------------ then I used a program called: MediaTwins Software AC3 Decoder ------------------ then: CDex to change WAV ---> RIFF-WAV mp3 ------------------ then: back to virtualdub(normal) Direct Stream for both ------------------ It looks and sounds perfect except the audio was offset(early if that makes a difference). I then tried a couple ms offsets and found that +550ms worked. BUT, then the further into the movie it goes, the farther behind the audio goes! So if anyone can help please reply!
it seems you have the classic decoding problem. personally i used headAC3he and it never fails, yet. http://www.doom9.org/
