Hi all, I've been trying many different converters to backup my standard DVD's to external hard drive for playback on my Xbox 360. So far quality and file size have been my main issues. I'm trying XviD4PSP 5.036 currently. Does anyone know what the best settings in it are for file sizes between 800MB and 1.2GB? But quality must be equal to sDVD. I believe H.264 is the best format, and that this version of the app can output it. I don't mind long conversions that use 2-pass settings. Thanks!
Why not just try a one pass (at the defaults) and see what size it hits at 'x264 Q21 Ultra'. It will take a while, especially if you use a Denoise/Sharpen filter, like LimitedSharpen.
