I downloaded an avi movie and could not watch it on my computer. The computer said I did not have the correct codec to watch it.
However, I do have an xvid codec.
The movie was a xvidmVs. I don't know if that is a new codec or what. All I know is that I can't watch it on my computer.

    Can anyone help?

I'm not the best when it comes to these codecs.

    Thank you.

    GSpot
Drag the AVI on to GSpot and try to see which codec it needs and if it's installed on the PC.
In the example, the Video codec is XviD and it's installed.
The Audio codec is AC3 and it's installed
You can also try to play the file using the buttons.
