    Dear all,

I just recieved my new yamada 6600. However quite
surprisingly I am able to play most media (DIVX, MP3,
JPEG,...) but I have problems with common DVDs. Some of them are not recognized by the reader and I got the message NO DISC. Please note that I am talking about original DVDs, not burned by me. I have disabled
the parental control and upgraded the firmware but still nothing. These DVDs work with no problem on my other DVD player.

Should I return the unit or there is something I can do ?

    Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you should have bought a different player. Live & learn I guess! There are players out there that still have compatibilty issues with certain media, looks like you have one.
    Major bummer!!

Got the same problem as well, guys.

I'm returning mine, I had a Yamada 5520 and that was fine with DVD's.

    There's definitely a fault with our 6600's because my friend's 6600 works fine. I reckon it's a shoddy media-tek chip.

Hey, more screw ups from Yamada, surprise, surprise!
