Hi, I am new to the group so apologies if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find a thread on it. I have just purchased a 6700 and have found that when watching divx films on it there is a lot of pixelating on the screen. I can watch the samne films on my desktop without the problem. Also on a couple the sound is out of sync and again this is not the case on the computer. I have upgraded to yamada latest firmware but this hasn't assisted. Anyone got any ideas as it's a right pain. Ta
Took this from a different site, might help... I purchased this for playing Divx and it plays any divx burned as a data disc, but some were jerky, i found out that it was the chipset that couldnt handle packed bitstream. So to cure this download this program and edit your divx movie ie. http://www.moitah.net/download/latest/MPEG4Modifier.zip open the file, if the packed bitstream box is ticked, click on unpack, then click on the divx line (usually something like DivX999b000p ) click on edit, and change the p to an n (this doesn\'t make any difference what you change it to) It nows plays all divx movies a treat.
I've got an avi, did the unpacking bit with mpeg4mod (details AFTER the conversion below), but the 6700 comes up with the follow error when playing back "only 1 pixel for gmc allowed".... any advice? Details after unpacking and changing "p" to "n" on divx line- Packed bitstream: No QPel: No GMC: Yes (3 warp points) Interlaced: No Aspect ratio: Square pixels Quant type: H.263 I-VOPs: 1033 (1.02%) P-VOPs: 28698 (28.24%) B-VOPs: 61714 (60.72%) S-VOPs: 10185 (10.02%) N-VOPs: 0 (0.00%) Max consecutive B-VOPs: 4 1 consec: 36.70% 2 consec: 62.96% 3 consec: 0.06% 4 consec: 0.28% Warp points used: 2: 41.12% 3: 58.88%
Following on from my original query, i have used the mpeg convertor but this hasn't helped. It appears that the 6700 has a problem playing older mpeg layer 3 files as the layer 4 ones work okay along with most avi files. Is there a way of changin mpeg3 files?
