Youtube fullscreen mode

I have an Acer X223W monitor on 1680 x 1050 resolution. Whenever I go to watch any youtube video on fullscreen, the entire screen turns grey with a diagonal line. However, I hear the sound in the background. I think its my monitor's problem. any suggestions?

 

Have you tried to see if it works on another resolution?

 

I tried it on all of the resolutions but no success.

 

Did you try restarting the monitor while it's in this grey mode? How do you get out of it?

 

I pressed the esc key to get out of the fullscreen mode.
