zip or rar file damaged

    i have 2 zip/rar files when you try to open them
    it comes up wit an error file format and file
    maybe damaged.something like that is it possible
    to fix this and to open it?

    i just know that it could be repaired when you lose the index in the hard disk,to look for some software related have a try.

    Yes it is possible to fix a damaged Rar/zip , but most of the time its so damaged its beyond recovering. Easier to just redownload again than to spend the effort repairing a damaged archive (RAR/Zip)
