I know this may not fit here but i have to ask it. I am going to reinstall Windows XP or my Vista, is there a way i can shrink all the files i have and put them on several DVDs? I really dont want to lose all my backups....
I got two HD's the first one i want to reinstall windows on, and the second has all my movies, games etc..... thats the one i want to backup before i do my install
well why dont you just transfer evrything to the other drive and the one you want to put windows on is the one you format. Just put your windows disc in and when it says boot from cd , you say yes. Make sure that c: hard drive is the one you install windows onto and thats the one you format.Once the installation is done you should still be able to get all your other data from the other drive still intact.i had to do this just recently and there wasnt any issues doing it
