My Zune (80) will not stay connected on my vista machine. It works fine with my XP one. when i plug it in it connects for about 10 seconds than just randomly disconnects with no errors. The inly thing it shows is a ! in the device manager after it disconnects. the only way to get it to re connect for another 10 seconds is to uninstall the device and plug it back in again. I've already reinstalled the software many times. tried in safe mode.
Just for poo-poos and ha-ha's...try right clicking the Zune icon on your desktop and run in compatibility mode.
