Just burnt my first movie with 321GONE. Copied the movie to my hard drive and then I ran the program. It said "remove 321 screen" or something like that. Then I proceeded to burn the movie and I still ended up getting their screen on the disc. Is there specific folders each program need to be in. Not for sure what I did wrong?

    All:
Thanks for your votes of thanks. It'sa nice to be appreciated )

    stunn611:
The entire DVD structure is recreated in entire disc mode, so there is in effect no way to get rid of all the superfluous languages in Xpress.
If you wanted to rip all the other languages you would need to use something like DVD Shrink, which is defeating the object of the exercise anyway (
Simplicity is the Idea behind XPress. (I am all in favour of the K.I.S.S. principle - Which is why I like it!!).

    McMorris:
Cheers ) RE: Your own intros, I have no Idea. I just "reverse engineer" to remove the annoying bit that 321 insist on adding, now if I could get the source for XPress... lol That'll never happen!!

odious: With Pirates of the Carribbean etc I believe that an update of the Xpress soft is needed. Maybe uninstalling and Re-Installing may help with the (Somewhat Obscure) Patin Couffin Engine burning system that Xpress uses.
With the BACKUP screen still being there this means it's a multi language DVD. I am still working on this problem.

    Regards,
    Psi

    RE: Watermarking
I have been looking into this this evening as I am getting some requests about this. 321 Studios apparently copy protect the backup, I however have not found this to be a problem I have backed up a few of my backups with Nero6 and Alcohol 120% with no trouble whatsoever. They do however watermark the disk with your licence number. If needed over the weekend I can write in a subroutine to remove the licence number watermark??
Up to you guys and gals.

    Hey PsiDOC,

I have reinstalled the software 3 times and I also tried burning it on 3 different burners with all the new firmwares and still no luck.

OK what version of Xpress are you using? I recommend getting 3.2.1 it has a lot of updates over the previous versions. It's available to download from 321's FTP site.

I have 3.2.1. I would assume, that update would fix everything. I will uninstall and get it from them I guess. Not for sure what the difference will be, but I will check it out.

Psi: I like the idea of the means of removing the tracking code that 321 puts on the "backup" it worries me that someone has info on what your doing on your PC with your own software/DVDs Cheers ispy

Another weird DVD I just tried burning was "Open Range". It goes all the way up through the title screen just fine, and then the DVD speeds up and starts forward queing all the way through the movie. Oh Boy.

Have you tried the XCopy support forum??
    http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/
I am at a loss to what's going on there. It's obviously a problem on the burning side of things. Other than that... ???

    Good morning PsiDoc,
    RE: 321 Gone Icon
I was trying to profile your personality and get a feel for what would make you feel good for an Icon. My thoughts are nothing gaudy, but directly related (‘stay focused’). What are your (and anyone else’s) thoughts about a heavy line trace of an umpires hand with the ‘Your Kicked Out Of The Game’ thumb pointing to the right (make it & look at your hand then imagine), with on the left side a proportional line weight ‘3’, over ‘2’, and right ‘1’? Hope I described it ok… one picture would be worth all the above words, BUT…

    Everyone Else,
Has anyone have a review (of their personal experence) for the software ‘DVD Wizzard Pro’, my investigation shows favor for a try… Please reply to save me $39.99 US…

    Bass Wishes,
    GoFish

Just go for it on the Icons stakes. Be focused, be off beat, be silly, be anything you like!! Poetic licence is yours.
Look forward to seeing you efforts.

I am having to get outside help on this and I am currently waiting on some answers to a few questions.
All I can say is please be patient.
Everyone including myself are eager to get this out of the beta stage. However without the correct info disastrous results can ensue. The last thing I want is to trash the DVD you are backing up due to incorect patching.

    Psi

    ***** Version Update Available *****

Version 0.63 is now available from the download site.

    Changes as follows:
Added the "watermark" removal subroutine. When you click the Remove 321 Intro button it not only removes the 321 screen but removes the watermark info as well ;o)

    Regards,
    Psi

The watermark is something put in by 321 studios that states the Date and time the backup was made. It also identifies your program as the one that did the backup by adding your unique licence number to the watermark.
So if needs be the backup can be traced directly back to you.
It is (according to popular rumour) supposed to copy protect the backup as well, however I have never had any problems re-copying a backup using Nero or Alcohol 120% in disc copy mode.
    Regards,
    Psi
