    Ok now that you have that problem you now need to set your comport up on your pc, also where did you get the cable from that you are using to flash the box, did you buy it in Maplins by any chance.

    yes maplins and the rs232 cable doesnt fit into my laptop its male ended so wont go into the pc . And I set the comport to 3 rather than 1 and thats when it says download not requested

    Take it back and get a female female null modem cable.(9 pin) some of the maplin staff dont know there arse from there elbow. Good luck

    Borrow an old xp pc and use that or bring it to someone that has an old pc

    All channels till 11 pm last night . Seems to be mainly movie now. Not many channels lefts working. just as i have the box working . anybody else having probs ?? NTL Teeside area?

    if there upgrading area or a local fault happens you may lose channels,what is your signal and quality levels at.

    yep im teeside area mine were working today until 11 ish then lost most.. have sports movies and a couple of others.. did re-scan and factory reset and still same. isp service status for all services is ok.

    there still working fine m8 could be an area problem, you dont say if you pay a subscription for a virgin box do you ?? if you do is your subbed box working fine ?

    ok take your subbed box off and put the KV there and see what happens, if you get your channels then its a cable problem.
