you're right abcd. Let me give more examples. Bayer Aspirin makes a HIV infect hemophiliac drug and sells it overseas to not take a loss. No government investigation into wrongdoing. Vioxxx is FDA approved only to be found to cause heart anomalies in its users (due to the fact that Merck fudged their results - no investigations into wrongdoing). Ritalin and Adderol are shown to cause heart attacks in children, yet it's the most widely prescribed drug for ADHD. Uranium rounds that we have been using in Iraq have been shown to cause microscopic radioactive dust that is causing problems in returning veterans. No one is looking into any medical problems. Ground Zero has shown asbestos problems yet no one is getting medical help or money for the problems it is creating. The point is this... people put into a position of trust exploit it. Sure tobacco is bad for you. I smoke cigarettes and shouldn't. But that is adrop in the hat. Sure it is a bad example but plz try to explain away the Bayer one. I'm sure u can't. So the execs of Bayer knew that they had a tainted product and were given the go ahead by the FDA to unload it overseas on our allies (Japan). No investigation. Still think it's a cop out that people in power that lust for money wouldn't kill you or me to get more of it? I think not.

 

I wasn't aware of the Bayer matter you spoke of but I'll sure agree that human life means squat when pitted against the bottom line ... money. I was one of the many in Florida who was a victim of the Humana HMO scandals in the early 1990s; unlike so many, I was lucky in that my life wasn't endangered by their greed.

Ireland, you seem to be the only one here with a head on his/her?? shoulders. I also lost friends on 9/11 and happened to be looking up at the Twin Towers when the 2nd plane hit. If you want to see an excellent and unbiased discussion of this "alledged" conspiracy get a copy of Penn & Tellers television show (called B$$$-S***). They had one episode devoted to Conspiracy Theories. Google 'penn & teller conspiacy theories'.

 

I love a good conspiracy theory; I've seen a couple (not about 9/11) I even agree with to one degree or another, e.g., I've never been much of a supporter of the warren commission's magic bullet theory.

My favorite conspiracy delt with bush 1&2, dick c , clinton and a number or others all being in on it as members of the "illuminati". this is a VERY bad conspiracy alright so a missle hit the pentagon where did the plane go where did the ppl go? it makes no sense bombs were planted in the pentagon nobody saw ppl bringing in massive truck loads of dynomite? it makes no sense

 

where do things vanish to all the time? it's extremely easy to make people and equipment disappear without a trace, especially when you have trillions of dollars and millions of people working for you. dynomite wouldn't have been needed. there are many more efficient, effective explosives out there; a few hundred ground-off rivets and well-placed plastic explosives, and the building comes down.

 

@ auslander so youre telling me that people were planting hundreds of plastic explosives all around the world trade center and out of everyone that works in the world trade center nobody realized the guy in the corner planting explosives? or nobody saw any explosives?

 

i'm not necessarily saying explosives were planted at all, but i am saying that no one ever suspects the repairman (or really notices him) and i wouldn't put it past any authority anywhere. it would have been easy enough to do; nothing would have been out in the open--we're talking behind walls, in elevator shafts, possibly ductwork, and only in areas of structural importance. no one would have found a brick of C4 on their desk.

Also with the WTC, security and bomb-sniffing dogs were pulled a week prior to the towers coming down. Given a week, undercover demolision experts and the right amount of material, I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't know someone was rigging it to blow up.

It's called a Conspiracy Theory for a reason. Plus if people did see something in the week up to it... (i.e stuff out of place) unfortunately those people are now no longer with us. You would have no evidence or first hand accounts of people on the middle floors that owuld have noticed that stuff.

Also, if you used a Tomahawk missile on the Pentagon, there would be no plane or bodies. The body parts could have come from people on the inside oft he building (i.e cleaning people, other personnel). Why was the gas station that had a security camera looking at the Pentagon confiscated by the feds and also the people made to sign waivers about what they saw? I'm sure that if you have some video showing a plane hitting the Pentagon, the government could release it and prove without a shred of doubt that a plane hit the Pentagon. The only video released was like 5 seconds of video showing an explosion. A lot of things make explosions.

 

Oh also about the conspiracy about Bush and Cheney and Rumsfield being in a secret cult... www.infowars.com I do believe. He's supposedly a member of the Bohemian Grove. An all-males club that prays to a Stone Owl.

 

you know one thing about the INTERNET any idiot can makeup a Conspiracy theory for anything and post it online and apparently theres alot of board people that will believe anything. so basically your saying that everything posted on the the net or what you can dream up is true or has value to it.

Not really but I do plan on purchasing the video and viewing it. Video is pretty concrete proof unless someone magically made it up. I'm not saying it's true but someone brought up the point about the Illuminati, I just thought I'd put my two cents in. I found it interesting that Bush is apart of a secret society. Sure it might be untrue but I can't prove it till I see the video and see Bush on it. Nor can you disprove that it's true by just saying that since it's on the Internet it's fake.

just as these conspiracies theories can't be explained, neither you nor any of your conservative and government-trusting counterparts can explain away all our little questions and observations with solid evidence or sound theories.

either present evidence, or help analyze it. there really shouldn't be any more to it than that in this thread.
