A NEWBIES GUIDE TO MX ANDROID

Paulie, i wasnt keen on that last build i installed, coldasice, too much change for my liking, I'll stick with Jarvis for now. Thanks for the info though.

does your kodi update by itself? on my android box and on pc and on phone it doesnt, it tells me there is a new one out there then i will have to delete my full kodi, and start from scratch, weird how that happens on iproducts, do your addons and repos stay there or is it basically a fresh start? are your iproducts jail broken or side loaded?

also i havent gone to jarvis as mine is ok , if its not broke and all that

 

Tongs I got the option on ipad to update, the mx box updated by itself to jarvis , all the addons and tbb stayed the same just udated to new version ...........

If i want to add Mobdro Addon to my Kodi Android box M8S, how do i go about it please?

My mxq box did it automatically, turned it off with it running isengard, next time i switched it on it was jarvis, did the 'running for tirst time' blue bar install and all zip files, repos, add ons were the same as before.

 

Melody if you want to add mobdro you can download from playstore or just Google it on your box and can download the app to you main apps screen ,
Ps if your box came preloaded , the chances are you probly have it already ....

Upar I think the mx boxes are setup in such a way that it updates auto , i know a few guys who have mx boxes and all have updated with no problems , a mate of mine has a different make of box and if he needs to update has to go the fresh install method ...........

yeah thats what i have to do, i dont have the mx boxes, in a way i am glad it doesnt auto update i like to update when things aint working properly but mine is ok for now so im not updating yet

 

Tongs i checked jarvis before updating as you know versions can be a bit unstable , but all seems to be OK , kodi already have 17.0 krypton version but still at beta stage

Got my M8s today and am not so happy with it. I'll tell you why in subsequent message.

I would like to pick an app for My apps and set it as one of the favourites which appear on the Home page.

How do I go about this please?

Melody, if you want to put apps icons on your main home page , if you click on the plus icon on home page , it will bring up all your apps , pick the one you want on home page and click on it , should now have green tick , that app will now be on home screen at the bottom , the one you don't want on , just untick ,

I've got Exodus and Phoenix pre-installed on the box but i'm having trouble with the TV Series. I try to open an Episode of whichever Series and they sort of freeze and don't open, and then i have to switch off the box and start again for the umpteenth time - and then i start @#$%^^&!!

Movies are not much better either!

Melody The version you have is ok as in stable , Are you connected via wifi or ethernet , if it's possible to connect ethernet cable it will inprove performance , also what speed is Internet connection .........

 

I'm connected through Ethernet and my speed is 30Mbps.


...........and as i can see, i need a wireless bluetooth keyboard for this box!!
