A NEWBIES GUIDE TO MX ANDROID

If you go back to page 28 I have a link for remote that I use , has remote one side and keyboard on the other also has point mouse , I had a mini keypad , but I found the remote easier to use , all seems good with wifi/conect ions , are you able play any films on kodi ie in exedus /pheonix, Also you need to barebone the box to the addons that work and one you want to keep all others you can delete will make the box run a lot better , if you go to page 21 and read the treads from their you see how to skin the box down .......

 

Yes I'm able to watch films on Exodus, it's only the series that I tried that didn't work for me.

I'll go and see those pages you mentioned as the remote is a real hassle to use!

@paulie - the remote looks very good but does it work on M8S too ?

Sorry but can't find tongs post on page 25 referring to box sets etc, and yes it's Series like War and Peace / Downton Abbey / Billions which i was trying and that's where the box sort of froze and i had to switch off and start box again.

Yep I reckon it will work on most andriod boxes , once you have usb port for wifi dongle , try this in pheonix. Tnph , tv , best of british , let us know how you get on

Ps next step for box is to barebone the box down to the addons you want to keep that are working and delete the rest once done the box will perform a lot better , if you need help post , always some in the forum willing to help , lol .......

Hi all,bought an android box(cheapie from china),kodi loads then i get some writing at the top of my tv screen and the screen goes blank.Have tried cloud tv and a few other apps which work ok.Have used wi fi and connected with ethernet and it does the same thing.I,ve tried doing the forced stop and clearing the cache on kodi with no success.It,s most likely me doing something wrong as i,m a complete novice with android.Just wondering if someone on here has experienced this and managed to put it right.Many thanks in advance.

 

What does the writing say , and what version of kodi do you have ?

 

Hi paulie57,the version is isengard 15.2,the writing only comes up for seconds and due to it,s quality despite numerous attempts can,t be read.I think the answer is in this writing so will keep trying.Thanks very much for the reply.

 

Kodi version is ok Maybe firmware is out of date , do you know what firmware is on the box , are your apps working on main screen , if so you can delete kodi and reinstall new one ?.............

as paulie says delete kodi and re install, everything you need is in this thread

 

as long as they are 2.4 GHz any would be fine, i use a mouse and a keyboard instead of a 2 in one as i like having the pc feel

 

Yep melody looks good , just make sure to check spec, as tongs says 2.4 ghz , thanks for the input m8 .............

 

Dont know if its the same thing but i used to regularly get adrop down message on kodi home screen, screen would dim when message dropped down from top of screen but remote wouldn't navigate to the button on the message to dismiss it. Used to have to use the mouse/cursor option on remite to close message and screen would light up again.
Press the little 'mouse' button next to direction keys then press OK and cursor should appear on screen, use up down left right to direct cursor to message.

Like I said though it might be irrelevant to your problem.....

 

After using the cursor, then how do reverse the process and take the cursor off screen ?

Melody if you press the mouse button again it will revert back to normal

 

Guys below is link to addon I'm checking out a the moment just put up today and has a huge variety , it's called total tv , also has box sets , melody this one might be what you are looking for ....
Upar the message you get on your screen is kodi/tv addons message you have the option to dismiss or remind later , I think Glyn problem is he needs fresh install of kodi , as he says bought box from China , that says it all , new kodi install could hopefully solve it ...

In fact how do i go about to add this addon please?
Do i have to get into kodi?
