you can jail break and take it back to factory settings if you so wish, cant understand how warrenty would be void, unless you have cydia if you return iphone to apple, maybe some stored data somewhere, its all white cloaks and daggers i guess

 

I don't want to put kodi on my iPhone. I want to stream from my android box to my iPhone
Using my iPhone as a TV
Maybe that's impossible, but do u understand what I mean?

 

I do mate like I said earlier tho I'm not sure about that. If you had android then obviously you could just install kodi. But what you want to do is stream an android version of kodi to an I product. Not even sure if you could stream android box to android phone.

Hello, I'm relatively new to this. I've just received my MXQ android box and straight away on load up my remote won't work so I can't even access the home page on the box. Any ideas as to why it won't work? Not a good start

 

First box I bought just before xmas gone, box worked fine, switched it off, then remote wouldn't turn box on again. Sent it back and got replacement.

 

have you tried extending the metal prongs in the remote to ensure the batteries fight tight? if still no joy, turn your camera on on your mobile phone and point the infrared bit at your camera lens and press a button on your remote if remotes working you should see the infrared flash on your phones screen. if that fails send box back if its brand new

 

is the box booting up fully ? . some times the box firmware can have a boot up problem , meaning the box isnt booting up properly or at all . your box seems to have that problem .

what boot up means very simply is for example that your box once plugged in goes through a process where it starts to run , and when the boot process is complete you should see what you called the home page . my box starts by showing a green android , thats part 1 of the bot process , then it say MBOX , then its shows some other stuff and then i get the home page . so before my box gets to the home page it goes through about 3 parts of a boot up process . all these boxes have a similar boot process including yours .

sadly with these boxes the remote control software (that is the software in the box that lets the remote control work the box ) doesnt start running untill the box has all but fully booted up , so then the remote control wont work with the box untill the box has fully booted up . so that might explain why your remote is not working .

usually in these boxes at the rear there is an AV connection , and inside it is a reset switch . when the box s plugged out a tooth pick or similar can be inserted into the conection and the reset button pressed , then a menu should appear onscreen showing options , one of which should be a reset option . that all being well would reset the box and it should boot up , but thats sadly not always the case if the box firmware is corrupt or damaged . by the way you would probably need either a wifi remote to be able to select the reset option or a regular usb mouse connected to a usb connection on the box would do .

if a reset wont work as the box is new and covered by warranty i would say then to contact the box seller and tell them the box has a problem and ask for a replacement or a refund . you will likely be asked to send the box back , if so be sure you get a refund for the cost of this .

 

ah sorry ashglynn i see from tongs reply that i may have misunderstood your post . try what tongs advised as that will tell you if your remote is working or not .

 

you could be bang on the money mate, i thought the problem was remote not working but she/he says cant even access homepage, didn't think of your route, anyway the poster has a few options now ha, and if they all fail i think we would agree send box back lol

 

well the box should boot to the home page or show the apps etc once powered on tongs mate , even if the remote isnt working . yes if the poster is a newbie (android box wise ) and its under warranty i would say if its faulty best not to mess with it and try and flash the firmware , in that sense its probably best to send it back . trying a reset tho with a tooth pick or similar should do no harm and is worth a try i guess . talk soon mate

ye mine has stopped working too. in fact all my sports addons seem to be down lately. has anybody got any 'working' sports addons?

a lot of addons dont work anymore, people stealing addons and claiming they are there own so the devs have took the servers off line for now

this is quite good. once installed the good sports are in sports plus. to install download the file> stick it on usb drive on pc, stick stick in box> load up kodi> system> addons>install from zip file> locate your stick on the right hand side (normally called sda1)> click on the zip file you downloaded> wait for addon enabled> go to video addons and stallion will be there.
