A NEWBIES GUIDE TO MX ANDROID

Hi all just hoping someone can help me asap , I really need to find the best addon to watch mtv all my addons have it but der all music and hits and I want the official one to watch teen mom and geordieshore , just wondering if anyone has it on a to guide I could get , all help considered , also soapbox has stopped working saying check log anyone know what this means ??

 

did the channels work previously or have you just got the box?

 

They all work it's just I can't get the mtv entertainment just wondering if anyone has it and uses it a lot so it works mine just always is the hits or classics one , I have the box awhile it never worked

is it still working paulie? tried it earlier, exact url, when i go to install from zip its just an empty menu box with blue back arrow???

...on the plus side though sportsdevil seems back to its best!

 

not sure then to be honest. i only use it for films and occasional sports, i don't really watch 'tv'. im sure some of the others on here will know better. have you tried googling it to find an addon for mtv?

 

It's says all the addons I already have every other channel works bar that channel

 

not sure then...unless it's fate telling you to stop watching geordie shore and teen mums haha! only joking, hopefully someone else will be on who watches tv channels and can help you.

 

I found this thread because I had an error message on a white screen come up. Something along the lines of "there is a serious error with your machine please reboot to correct the problem" I noticed another user had the same issue so read about 5 pages of sound advice before doing the inevitable, a factory resort. I bought a mxq box which was fully loaded all be it that wasn't advertised. Only the last 2 days have I been getting the best from it and the only thing I can think off that can really screw these things up is powering down while an app or xmbc/kodi is open. I live on a pre payment meter (yh I'm poor) and the electric goes so quickly so that's that. Also installing new builds which require you to power down but I guess the factory ran out of switches because there isn't one. But also I seen another user in this thread mention a power cut while using xmbc/kodi and it all went Pete tong and asked for firmware likes if memory serves me right. Also a YouTube joenobody sounds like Ray everybody loves Ray. I'm sure it was he who said you must quit to the mx box or mxq main menu before turning it off. Anyway wanted to say thanks to the guys in the earlier stages of this thread I've factory reset it. Shoebox came back and modro I think it's called. But nether work now. Oh and I read on Twitter uktvnow is down for repairs or something should be bk soon.

 

Try what I did in the past. Search where in the world that show is being transmitted like in the USA it might be on a popular music channel maybe a different time which sucks. I did this for moto go because the stream wasn't the best and got a result a popular U.S. Station had it on. Only issue with your show I guess is the time it's aired will be different.

 

did you mean moto gp? which channel/addon did you find for it? I usually watch it on a bt sport stream but always good to know if its gonna be on somewhere else. thanks.

 

I did indeed sir. I didn't proof read my essay and I know my phone would like to call it moto go not gp lol. I believe I watched it on bein sports the addon I'm sure was illuminaty it's now included on many builds I got it from the wookie. But after my error message I've got to sort all of that out again. Ya guys best to shut box down properly as in close all apps and return to home page before powering down , not shutting down right can cause the box to get stuck In loop.

I do that now. But yesterday I had the hyper TT build installed and it froze so had to unplug it from the mains Now I'm using evolve add on live football was sluggish last night for me but every random movie I've picked works. I'm gonna get 3amigos later and another which is focused on sports. Any suggestions on an add on purely for sport.

 

Oh for the mxq my seller sent me the firmware if anyone needs it.

 

You can install ares wizard , it's not a build but has builds within that you can install if you choose , lists from one to ten the best builds also has a list of addons as in mjm soccer which is working good atm plus sportsdevil , exedus for movies and so on , you can install any addon directly to kodi from areswizArd without having to put in url or zip file lol .......

 

if you did a factory reset certain settings may have returned to their default settings .

for example you say showbox doesnt work when it did , did you check the internet in the box ? . is your box connected to your router via ethernet cable ? or wifi ? . if its wifi all tho the box may be set to wifi because you reset the box it may not now have your internet router wifi code . so if your on wifi check network settings and make sure wifi is ticked , then all being well you should see any wifi networks available (including yours ) , select your wifi network id and then enter your wifi code .

if you are connecting your box to your router via ethernet cable ensure that ethernet (not wifi ) is ticked , all being well you should then see ethernet connected and an ip address .

yes kodi and any android apps should be closed up before powering the box off

 

I'll get on that later. I don't want to put a build on it anymore it seems to slow the box down to much so ares could be worth another bash. I can't recommend evolve enough I've watched some extremely new movies in high quality.

After the reset I went through the first time setup and plugged in the Ethernet cable. Indeed ticked the box accordingly. The show box version which was pre installed on purchase I believe is version 3.87 it didn't work when I bought it but I was only interested in kodi so wasn't bothered. When I tried show box on the start up it asked me to update it from there servers, I did this and waited for about 5 minutes and it popped up saying update error. But Google ever the powerful tool it is, I opened the browser found the show box web site and downloaded the apk file from there. I went with there latest version 4.27 at the time and in brackets next to said version it read (working) but alas it did not. So I removed it and went for an earlier version and it worked for the most past. Nothing worked on the server 1 but it had options for most stuff. Eventually after 2 days it stopped again. After looking about on social media they did tweet in March I think it was, there service is down and they are working on it.
