ok guys whoever was gonna use the clawhammer core on the AMD FX55 DONT the VEnice Core is much better donbt know why ive had both and venice is so much smoother...btw guys u have to realize that most young gamers dont have the money to buy a $500 graphics card IE the 7800 of any kind. so im going with the 6800 or the 6600gt and plus everyone wait on new comps because prices are going to drop in like 4moths when new dual cores are much much better thne the dual cores we have now if u really wanna buy now u can but wait and all hte cpus on the market will go down alot with in 4 - 5 months amd is coming out with better dual cores.. differnt cores and intel well... intel u never know what the do i mean when amd came out with the 64 the sorta did but not as prominent they went dual core first which is good and now they even have combined the dual core with 64 bit processing... intel is good but their benchmarks are meaning their high end processors are much more expensive than amd's equavilent and wow i jsut realized that pretty much everyone on this fourm is an amd fan woot go amd
i forgot that yes all asus mobos are capable of OC in fact most mobos are except the OC is in hte bios pretty wimpy compared to Uguru from abit yes i love abi now their high end boards are much better thaan their low ends
Gamer can you please clean up your grammar? I can't follow mostly what you are saying with so much gibberish spitting everywhere.
I currently have two systems the one on my sig and the other is AMD Athlon 64 FX55, MSI K8N Neo4/SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI, 4Gb Kingston pc 3200, 2 GeForce 6800GT, 2 WD raptors sata 10,000 rpm. The Intel exceeded my expectations and out preforms the amd in almost all areas, but its not an overwhelming difference. Like someone posted earlier its all about the video card when it comes to gaming. My 7800gtx smokes my two geforce 6800GT.
Well just to let you know, I'm not a really big gamer. I play my ocassional game but I work more with video and audio. Still I want the best and so far AMD seems to be as far as I can read. About the 2 raptors in raid, thanx for the heads up on the noise factor. I'll keep that in mind. Not sure what raid to use since I have not used sata yet I have to learn what is the difference between raid 0 and raid 1. To be honest I am not much concerned with the noise thing, not unless it can really get annoying. After all with this much power I'm gonna need some serious ventilation. And if I plan on OC I figure with all the money spent so far, a water cooling system should not be out of the question but fans will still remain as well. I hope to keep you guys posted on this adventure. That's if my wife doesnt kill me first after she sees the bill.
