Hursty, first off, awesome guide, very helpful!

However, I have run into a few problems that I think I may know the answer to, just want to bounce 'em off ya's and see if I'm right...

I had the OEM suite of Nero 6 installed, and could not find the screen you were referring to. When I tried clicking the NERO button on the bottom of that window like a previous user said, it just brings up an advertisement window for Nero's site. I tried going to create a Data DVD and doing the same steps. However, I selected a burn speed of 3x but when it finished burning, it said "Burn process successfully completed at 8x." The DVD will not play in my hard-modded PS2. I am using TDK 8x dvd+r disks. I didn't know until today that there was a difference between the DVD+R and DVD-R's. Is this my problem? Do I need the other disks? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

dvd-r/dvd+r shouldnt really matter unless your ps2 is a version 3 or below,in which case you need dvd-r

you need to use the burning rom option as stated

As I said though, using the OEM Suite, I was unable to locate it. So then I tried uninstalling it, and installing the update package 1 that lists the burning rom as a feature, but once again, I was unable to locate that option in the program.... any ideas?

Hi i have a question for the games that are being burned does this only apply to people who are using the swap magic loader cause i got my ps2 chipped in Toronto, Canada where i dont have to put a loader disk... i can play burned games without putting that loader disk... can i still follow ur instructions on burning the ps2 games...

    HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have been trying to make a PS2 game for a while now.
My PS2 is chipped with AR2 V2 replay chip.
I have downloaded x-men legends 2 (NTSC) iso. Its around 1.3 GB.
I have extracted the files with isobuster into a folder.

The came up with this order.

    LICENSE
    MODULES
    MOVIES
    NETWORK
    SOUNDS
    Z
    DATAOLAY.BIN
    DNASOLAY.BIN
    SLUS_211.38
    SYSTEM.CNF
    XMENSAVE.ICN

I then opened Nero burner. Used the TAB with DVD (UDF/ISO).
Made a new project. I dragged the above files from the folder in that order (as they appeared on ISOBUSTER). then I burned with x2 speed on a verbatim DVD-R.

    THIS DOES NOT WORK.
Is there something i missed out?
Please someone tell me how to do it using NERO please!!!!
Is there something wrong with my PS2? Is it the game??

Hey Hursty look into the Gnie tool he just made bro,it has an option to shrink it down to the ISO section. The tool is called ExPERT and has a couple other plugins for it,for different munge files. The plugin for the Experimental plugin Extractor Rebuilder tool is called Shrinker_ps2_CdDvd5_iso.epi .Just create your ISO with dvddecrypter, open it up with the tool with the plugin I mentioned selected. Then follow these steps:

    1.Extract LBA
    2.Extract File
    3.Rebuild File

It is alot easier and I thought I might want to mention it for rebuilding techniques bro.

For some reason DVD Decrypter won't burn ISO files I create using DVD Decrypter but it will burn other ISO files I download like MC Killer etc, it gives me an error, anyone know why? Also it will, once in a great while burn an ISO that i created with DVD Decrypter but only after I restart my computer 6 or 7 times.

    hey Hursty and others.
The reason I rebuild the file was because I tried every other technique to burn this game succesfully and it still doesnt work.
People told me maybe its the media. I used imation once ppl told me it was crap, then i used tdk it didnt work.
I used dvd decrypter ISO write (just burned the iso) and it didnt work.
I also used nero burning image of the xmen2.iso and again it didnt work.
    Burned everything on x2.
The game sometimes will load after I put it in the chipped ps2. and the screen will just go black. The ps2 seems not be able to read further on.
    Does any1 know y?
Can you point me to the right direction??

P.S I just tried again with another iso of the same game i downloaded and it didnt work.
    Thanks

    Hi Hursty and others,

I have the same problem as apollon 1 and asrgames when i use dvd decrypter i sometimes have the error message but when i don't dvddecrypter burns the media on a benq dvd-r 8x and it works but keeps freezing the game images and the audio too, when i try to burn using lower speeds as of 4x my ps2 starts with the modchip screen(Matrix Infinity Ver.1.12) and then it turns black. I already tried the nero with the same result.

    Thanks for any ideas
