Ireland, I am not sure if you have something or not, but it could be noteworthy that I also use Verbatim 16x DVD+R media and Burn @ 8x. I am not having any trouble with this update so far. I am NOT using any 3rd party IDE or SATA Divers. Default XP Drivers. Just info. I don't write software or even know how to analyse it. I use CloneDVD 2 exclusively for burning. Reason I said I use default IDE & SATA drivers is this:
How in the world can Sony continue to come out with so many different versions of the same copy protection for DVDs. What I ask is why? It can not be cost effective to continue changing arccos every new DVD release, and pretty useless to do so anyway. by now, every body who IS sombody is aware of AnyDVD (and certainly as large as Sony is, knows about the program). It just seems a waste of time and energy, manpower, etc to release a different version every time a movie is released, knowing anyDVD will crack it before its released. Every new version of AnyDVD says Arccos protection is new and different and has been cracked.

I did not have any issues with 6.0.8.5, but I downlkoaded and ran 6.0.8.8. I made a copy of a movie using DVD Decryptyer, and after the movie finished the system froze, Idid a reboot and now my PC will not start WIndows XP Home. I tried to go in using the safe mode, and after it checks all the files, it reboots and I ma back to square one. I also tried going into the last known configurtaion, and I get the same results; it just reboots and windows will not load. Any advice anyone? I am not even sure if AnyDVD is the problem.
My problem started with V 6.0.8.5 and continued throuh all the versions after that. AnyDVD disables my drives. Whats up with that? V 6.0.8.2 there's no problem. I guess I can't update anymore.
My HArd Drive went bad. I dont think it was related to AnyDVD. Somehow the drive went kapoots. I sent it in to Seagate (warranty) and I am waiting for the replacement. Funny, in the last few years I have had 3 Seagate drives go bad, but my Westerns that I have had for 4, 5 6 years are still running.
Well when you see a negitive trend with one product, then its time to say goodbye to it. The drives i was refering to is the dvd burner drives. I get the message from AnyDVD that the drives were not detected. They suggest I uninstall reboot then reinstall then reboot. I did all that but still receive the message. In the settings under status it says the drives are disabled, but I have the drives checked in the settings as the drives to use. The problem doesn't exsist with V 6.0.8.2 I Don't Know Whats Up.
quote For the first time I have a problem with AnyDVD. After installing 6.0.9.2 & rebooting, I always get this screen & no drives are being detected. quote I don't want to imply anything, but this happens if you crack / modify AnyDVD. If you did use a crack, you know what to do. If you didn't, tell me more about your system (drivers, setup, etc.) __________________ James SlySoft products (Please forgive me, if I'm wrong) link http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=5c77b278cad18c4da4a38303fe0d89a2&t=201858
