Buckeye trees end up getting chopped down for firewood or furniture
    or dying from disease

Now a wolverine .. the goofs that chose that mascot for the University of Michigan had never seen one in the wild in Michigan ... The ONLY wolverines to ever grace the state were in captivity ... HaHaHaHaHa ... I grew up in Ann Arbor, that's why I'm a UofM fan ... But the state sucks eggs ... I'm a Californian stuck in Indiana

Now if Lloyd Carr would just teach the players how to tackle ...

Ohio State couldn't hold on. They lost, but what a great game! Texas had more left in the tank, in the 4th quarter.

Very close and a good game.
Go LSU. We need something to smile about in Louisiana.

I think the big 10 is over-rated this year.Tressel better be starting Smith at q-back rest of the season.
Iowa got the smackdown laid on them by Iowa state also.Purdue doesn't have to play Michigan or Ohio state. Going to be a long season, LOL
    Can't wait for next week.

OSU totally lost their momentum after Texas scored with three minutes left in the game. What I can't understand is why Tressel put in Zwick instead of Smith with so little time left.

I think zwick only led them to 3 points and smith led them to the rest, thanks to turnovers mostly. I'm still pissed.Smith should have been in there after texas scored that last td.
That's why smith replaced zwick last year. Stupid turnovers, less mobility!

The worst part is my St. Louis rams got beat by the lowly 49ers. I haven't seen both the buckeyes and rams lose the same weekend in a few years, UGGH! Double a** whoopin! OUCH.

My spirits are high at the moment my cats and chiefs are undefeated (I know only 2 games for cats and 1 for chiefs) but it's a start. My chiefs even have a defense.

The buckeyes aren't out of it yet. Lots of scenarios can happen, even a rematch with texas in the rose bowl?
Tennesee plays at Florida this week at gainsville. #5 vs #6 or so.Then Florida has it's anual matchup with Miami of Fla.

Florida state plays florida/and va Teck I believe.Plus acc championship. The re-vamped acc will cause the acc champion to have 1 or 2 losses.
USC plays notre dame and Cal. Cal is looking very good, maybe an upset.Notre dame also plays USC.
Michigan vs Ohio state at end of year.
Texas still has oklahoma and big 12 championship game.
Maybe even Kansas state defeating Texas in that big 12 championship, That'll get mort81 all worked up!I've seen colorado win the biq 12 with 2 or 3 losses a couple years ago.

I may be dreaming but anything can happen on any given saturday!!!!

I'm going with Texas and USC in the rose bowl for the national championship.

USC is still the class of college football. WOW!, that team is loaded .. I think that they could give several pro teams a run for their money.

After USC decimates Arkansas, they will retain the #1 position in the polls for the 22nd straight time breaking the record of 21 set by Miami in 2001-2002

I think that the only things involving USC that are still up in the air are: 1- Will Reggie Bush keep Matt Leinart from becomming the second person to win back to back Heisman Trophies? And 2- Which team is going to be USC's 'sacrificial lamb' in the Rose Bowl? I have no idea which team that'll be, but I think that the teams that match up the best are Fla and Fla State.

At least on Sunday, the Dertoit Lions beat the Packers, holding Bret Favre to the lowest scoring total (3) in his career.

I am Atlanta born and bred, so you know I gotta pull for my Falcons, Yellow Jackets, and Bulldogs.... Last game of the NCAA regular season I gotta go with GT over UGA, though... That being said, there's is not a conference that can touch the ACC (SEC a close second)!!! NFL-wise, Falcons over Indy in SuperBowl XL... Look for the younger Vick to make a run for a national championship as well...

@saugmon, I like your picks for the rose bowl buts it's still early.

@teflonmyk, I enjoyed watching the eagles get beat.
