The compilation of crashes is very thought provoking, seems like there were a lot of people who were against improved safety, Jackie Stewart got a lot of bad press because he wanted improvements. I find it hard to believe that they continued to race & didn't remove Williamsons' body 'til after the race. How times have changed. Most people forget that Roland Ratzenburger died at Monza, aswell as Senna. I am in a forum called pistonheads, it gives informative reviews of the crashes & how they happened. It is a real eye opener as to the attitude of the organisers & the lives of the drivers. The accident where the marshall was killed, the fire extinguisher he was carrying hit the head & killed instantly the driver of the car that hit him.
