The problem I have with the discs I've burned (not from an ISO, just using various combinations of the files you provided) is that I don't have any software that will play an .aob. I see that WinDVD is supposed to support them but I can't download a usable installation file. VLC Player is supposed to play them but it doesn't work. As a result, I can't determine if the discs are in a correct structure in order to give you a workaround for the ISOs.

Mmm! I can play it with VLC but in order to listen to it in surround sound, I have to play it on my DVD player which doesn't recognise any of the discs that I've burned using various methods and burning programmes. I've tried everything I could and that's why I came to the forum for help. No matter. It's just frustrating that I can't do it. Thanks for your help anyway, and if you should happen to discover a solution, drop me an email please.
    Thank you wither 1.

Yes. I can play the ISO file on my computer. But that is only stereo. The idea of the DVD disc is to play the music in surround sound, which I can do from my DVD player but not from my computer. So, I am trying to burn the file/s to DVD disc. I have tried to burn it with Windows burner, IMG Burn, Clone DVD, But, so far, this has proven impossible whether it is the original ISO file or the AUDIO_TS file extracted from the the ISO. That's why I came for help.
VLC will also play the individual AOB files, but not as a complete unit, like it does with the ISO.

Well, as I noted earlier, I would be on vacation this week. I'm 300 miles from home and the files are on my desktop PC at home. As a result, I won't be able to anything with this until next weekend.

I'll try to create an ISO with them but it's going to be tough because I don't know it's exact structure. You had mentioned previously that there were no files in the video_ts folder but that doesn't make any sense since to play it on a DVD player and display the video, the video and it's corresponding files should be in that folder. I may need to see a screenshot of what's shown when it's unzipped.

Yeah I could send that but meanwhile you go and enjoy your holiday, and let me know what you need when you get back. I'm in no rush.
    Thanks.

Would you open the .zip file (and any folders within it) and provide a screenshot?

I thought you were on holiday? Has it been a week already?
I've uploaded a photo of how the AUDIO_TS folder looks when opened.
The VIDEO_TS folder is completely empty.

Download the DVD-A tools from here-

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/dvd-audio/

When downloading, it will take you to several pages, at each page there is a green circle that will tell you that the download will continue in X seconds. Wait for it and then it will take you to the next page.

I'll talk to you about it tomorrow.

Hello wither 1. I got the download, extracted the files, and had a look at the PDF file.
I have no idea what that means. I think you will have to talk me through it.

Apparently, one runs one of those commands from a command prompt to accomplish the desired action.

Did you try to install the software? I don't have Win 10 but I'm not sure it matters.

I haven't tried to install anything yet. Was waiting for some instruction. Will go ahead now.
I am running windows 7, so I hope it doesn't matter.

OK. tried to open the dvda-author.exe
It ran a script on the black background, like the command that you speak of above, very quickly. For about a second.
Then nothing. I've looked for a programme but can't find anything. Any advice?

That's the same thing that happened to me but I tried it on Vista. Didn't try it on Win 7.

I started on this adventure from this page-

    https://dvd-audio.sourceforge.io/howto.shtml

In there, it says that you can only play a DVD-audio disc from a drive which with the DVD-Audio logo. Perhaps that's why we can't burn one.

I tried running the first line to create a DVD from a command prompt but that didn't work.

The problem is finding software which will convert an .aob to .mp3.

Several days ago, I was able to convert his files to an image file using InfraRecorder. I then burned that to disc with Nero Burning Rom, DVD-ISO. For some reason, VLC Player wouldn't play either it or an .aob on it.

VLC originally threw up a bunch of errors regarding the inability to open .aob files. However, I remember that last week I was able to get it to play one of the files off that disc but with no sound.

This morning I retried playing that disc in VLC Player again. It took 45 minutes for it to display the Audio_TS and Video_TS folders. An hour later, it displayed the contents of that folder. I asked it to play the folder. It read the .ifo file and a few minutes later jumped to the first .aob. This is what it looks like 45 minutes later-

Hi aldan. Nice of you to drop in.
I don't know if I'm going to be much use to you guys here, or just in the way. You seem to be talking way above my knowledge of these things. But, I played the complete AUDIO _TS file on VLC no problem, by just dropping it in and hitting the play button. Just tried the DVD that I burned and it plays exactly the same. The problem is I can't get my DVD player to recognise the disc. The VLC player is version 3.0.11 Vetinari.

It opens the file up and jumps to ATS_01_1.AOB, plays 19mins 27secs, then, with a very slight pause, to change tracks, straight onto ATS_01_2.AOB for 19:32secs, then ATS_01_3.AOB for the remaining 3:37. These files are the surround files according to VLC's Codec information.

When these files are played through, with no promt, it straightaway plays ATS_02_1.AOB, (24:46secs), then ATS_02_2.AOB, (17:50), to complete the album in stereo.

AUDIO_SV.VOB is a picture file which is supposed to last 29secs, but flies through the track numbers very fast.

AUDIO_TS.VOB is suposed to last 5secs, but either doesn't play at all, or it's so fast that I can't see it.

It just by passes the other files.

Here is a screenshot of VLC playing the DVD that I burned:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/2fgt9gvgv2f8ul5/My VLC playing files..jpg?dl=0

As I said at the start, don't know if that'll be much help, or not.

Which version of VLC Player are you using?

Did you burn a simple data disc by doing a copy of the Audio_TS folder to disc. Please explain.

Immediately after i posted yesterday, the play back position line changed to blue. However, after a couple of hours, it had only gotten to like 2 minutes of the first .aob without any audio.
