they should work. Like i said, i am in the US myself. I have had 3 TV's that i have had no problems playing PAL games on. Samtron, Samsung & Advent Plus 2 TV's at my moms house. But having both my systems chipped may be why i didn't have a problem because the PS2 has a force NTSC mode and Y-Postion fix option on the chip. The xbox i never switched anything and it played them on every TV i have tried so far.
For the sake of knowledge and experimentation I got the PAL version of Black and tried it. No surprise, it did NOT work, because it's PAL. Just FYI, unless you have a PAL set at home, or a converter, this game is unplayable. I'm going to borrow the PAL version of Soulcaliber 2 from a friend. He swears it works on his TV, and his set is a piece of crap.
Odd, i am in the US with a NTSC Xbox and PSTwo. Both chipped as stated in my sig. I have the PAL version of Black (Xbox) and it plays fine? And i have never had a problem with any PAL games working on either my PSTwo or Xbox
