So far the LG has served me well. I purchased it because it is also an HD DVD reader and player and I can use it to rip HD DVD and convert them to BD as well.

Try selecting the first part of the folder that is the top of the tree.

Did you rip it to file or ISO image?

That would be file mode. Try selecting complete backup instead of movie only.

Are you saying I have to change my ANYDVD settings or are you referring to BD RB, because I am in Full Disc Backup mode

I was referring to BD RB. Instead of movie only I was suggesting full backup. I'm just trying to analyze your issue to find a fix.

It's set to Full Movie right now and same error. I think it might be my end, I'm going to try some different things here.

I agree. It is probably a setup issue. I just setup BD RB on Windows 7 beta this morning and it's at 77% and still working.

You get a rewritable disc with it, and I've used it a few times as well as a small batch of single layer BD discs.

A copy of the log can be obtained from RB. I keep hearing about failures and the only thing that seems to come to mind is setup. I just built a new Q9550 rig overclocked to 3.7 Ghz. Just for fun I installed Windows 7 which as you know is too new to insure compatibility with drivers (although most Vista drivers work)and software. I installed BD RB along with all the required software and Imgburn and reencoded 10,000 BC to a BD single layer disc.

The first encode on Windows 9 using all the different software and encoder was a success. I burned it and it plays just fine. The vast majority of errors are almost always caused by setup issues because something has been overlooked. If what you're doing isn't working then go back over your setup again and chances are you'll find it.

Reencoded in 3 hours and 40 minutes.

ok and i take it they play back fine with no problems? also are you watching them on the LG drive in the computer or do you have a blu-ray player that hooked up to a tv?

    Further progress...
As you know when I use 'Rip Video DVD to Harddisk' with anyDVDHD,initially it shows On1.Off 0.Empty 1, which as soon as it begins ripping changes to On 0.Off 0.Empty 1.
Now heres the rub...when I rip it with ImGBurn and AnyDVDHD is running it shows On1. Off 0. Empty 1. this is how it is remaining. So why then does it lose this when ripping the film within AnyDVDHD itself, any thoughts?
    Cheers.

I never use a standalone, I prefer an HTPC solution.

For FFDshow go to start on your computer, then ffdshow, then choose ffdshow video decoder and open it. Then in the window to the right look for mpeg2 and there's a small menu that says disabled click on it and choose ibavcodec.

Sophacles, your a gem, changed the settings as per the image and its working. It is slow though, been going 7 hours and at 52% @ 7fps average, but apparently this is normal as Im doing it full Film to BD-R 25GB , will post results tomorrow.
