BD RB seems to work fine when making a 25gb back up but will not play on a stand alone player with 24f enabled. Only the sound can be heard and the play gets interrupted. Switch it off and the everything works fine.

Oh, and another thing. I know there is a custom size setting in BD RB but as for a one layer BD-R back up size, the folder size turns out to be smaller than the BD-R. Is it done on purpose for BD-RW or something? It would be nice if we did not lose any precious space on the BD-Rs.

Do you have the latest FFDSHOW, Matroska Splitter and AVISYNTH installed? Do you have blu-ray movie stored on hard drive?

Yes, when I said components, I meant all of the necessary software. Before when I ran BD-RB I would see 2 little icons pop up in my taskbar for FFDshow and Avisynth. Now I don't see any icons pop up down there. I think I am forgetting something, but I followed the same process as in the original post and it fails on every movie.

    hmmmmm?

Really hard to say what is wrong. MPEG2 decoding is enabled? Other third party codecs uninstalled? (like CCCP) Protection from the movie removed?

What is manufacturer of the Media Disk, size of build and what is the name of burning software? Try to burn another at a slower speed, as that sometimes provides a more reliable outcome.

    Version 0.20.06 released today (Apr 29, 2009) ~

    Code:
    Changes for this version:
    Code:
    - Made changes to MPLS processing code to correct for
mismatch errors when MPLS/CLPI PID orders are not
      ordered the same.
    - Rewrote several sections that perform audio encoding
and integrated new routines for processing.
    - Corrected an error in which under certain conditions
some small parts of a multi-part playlist might not
be reencoded -- and result in a video type mismatch.
    - Updated X264.EXE to the latest release (r1145)
    - Updated TSMUXER.EXE to the latest release (v1.9.9)
    - Other minor corrections and cosmetic fixes.

Tried the latest 0.20.06 and get Error, "Not BD Format" when selecting "Full Movie Mode" with several different movies from BDROM, Mounted ISO and Files on Hard Drive with Vista 64 Bit, and another user has just noted the same issue over at the BDR Bug forum, so I'll be sticking with previous Version for now.

I just read somewhere that BD Rebuilder and Tsmuxer can not handle DTS-HD properly. Is it still the case or has it been fixed?

PS. Looking forward to checking out the updated version of BD RB (hope the error mentioned above will be fixed soon).

I am correcting my above comment, as that Error, "Selected source is not BD Format" was actually when selecting "Movie Only-Backup" and not "Full Backup" mode, which appears to work. Suppose I should not be commenting in the very wee hours after a very long tiring day. Sorry.

No need to apologize, it really was an error because jdobbs ran into it himself and then made some changes. Reporting errors whether right or wrong is what beat testing is about. The link for those changes is below.

His player either can not play bd-Rs at all or check if the 24f in his player is enabled. If yes, turn it off.

Just wondered about something I ran into today. My computer shut off for some reason in the middle of an encode and when I restarted the computer and the program, it let me start off where the encode stopped.

Does this mess with the movie at all or does this really start off at the exact moment when it stopped? If it works like it says it does, this feature it awesome !!

I'm also not for sure what would cause my computer to shut off in the middle of an encode?
