In the folder where your reencode was going to land there are a couple of text files. Copy the information and paste it here. One will say BD_Rebuilder and the other will have the name of the movie. Don't mix the information.

How many audio tracks are there, what file types are they, and how many of them are you removing? Are there a lot of extras on the disc?

    Try this.

Under mode setting choose full backup (not movie only).

    Under Target size choose BD-25.

In setup choose not to compress the audio track that you're keeping.

Remove all foreign language tracks only.

    Reencode and report back.

Thank you Soph for your response. I have another issue, I cannot get bd rebuild to work. I get the same error Fail to build structure with different blu rays. I have 3 programs installed and the mpeg in fddshow is already default as libavcodec (is this correct?)

I'm running vista 32 E7300, 3 programs are under Program files and rebuilder folder is on my desktop.

    Please help.

    Thanks

Delete your your BD RB folder and uninstall ffdshow and avisynth, and redo setup. Something is not working in your setup and it's hard to pinpoint until BD RB's error reporting gets better. Don't use any previous downloaded software used in the previous install. Leave nothing and lets do some slash and burn. Then redownload all of these from either these links or the ones in the original post. Take care not to go for newer versions then the ones listed there, and set it all up again. Make certain that you give all of your applications administrative permission.

Thanks, I did per your instructions and left it running this morning. Will check after work to see. Also, when installing those 3 support programs, do I check anything or do I just leave it on default and "Next" all the way through? On the setting I left it default and for the audio I checked do not reencode for both ac3 and dts, I also checked keep hd audio for bd25.

Have you make back up to bd-r? If so, would you recommend doing the 1 pass and avr encoding to save time if the quality is still good?

    Thanks

Don't forget to enable MPEG2 in ffdshow.

Did you update to the latest version of BD RB? That's a fault he's trying to fix.

ahh, that seems to did it, updated to the latest bd rebuilder, it has been over 8 hours and it's at 70% pass 2, I'm backing it on bdr-25, can anyone recommend if doing it 1 pass would still give excellent quality on bdr?

I will report back once it's done. Thanks Soph.

i sure hope so, and give yourself credit for sticking with it.It's always nice when get things right the first time around , but it's only when we have real problems to solve that we truly begin to learn.

I have been tring to back up my new BD Grand Torino and am having a fit. I've been using BD Rebuilder for almost a year without any issue now I've tried everthing and keep getting the error pasted below. As you can see I've tried the last 3 versions of BD Rebuilder with the same results. Any Ideas?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the lates software posted here with no results.

I started using BD Rebuilder on Windows 7 beta x64 and now am using Windows 7 RC x64 I have not had any issues untill Grand Torino.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a success for me. Came home yesterday and it was done, played fine in my ps3. I think I need to upgrade to a quad core. With my current system, I would start it before going to bed and it won't be done until after work the next day.

Thank you Soph for your tech support.

Quick question, how much time would I save if I were to back up movie only compare to full disc? I could always watch all the extras on the original disc...

    You're quite welcome!

That depends on how many extras. I always do movie only backup unless I run into snag and then I start experimenting with ways to overcome it. It was reenecoding blu-ray that prompted me to build a couple quad core systems. I have one dedicated to that purpose only. It can complete the average movie around 3.5 to 4 hours depending on length. I can do batch encodes of 3 overnight which is also is a time saver.

    Hey Soph!

What are the basic specs on your dedicated machine? Mobo, cpu, ram and OC (if done), if you would care to share to the general public?

    Not at all.

    My re/encode system:

    Asus P5Q Pro board.

Intel Q9550 EO stepping@3.8 GHz (yep, no i7, must be EO stepping.

4 Gb Corsair 1066 Dominator RAM

150 GB WD Raptor for working folders and applications, and Seagate 320 Gb SATA for Source.

Never overlook a second hard drive. By transferring between drives you drop bottlenecks and that alone will probably net 30 minutes or more of saved time.

My main rig is almost the same except that it has a Q9650 and an Asus P5Q Deluxe.

I just did Eagle Eye in 3:43 minutes and I always do two pass.
