Well, I've got problems. BD-RB has quit working. I updated Win 7 and then got this error the next time I used it:

Error in attempt to multiplex: MUX_00000.meta
    - This is not an EBML file (id=0/440786851
[05:48:00] - Failed to build structure, aborted

Happens immediately. I did a system restore, no good. Reinstalled all BD-RB components, no go. The VC-1 setting is disabled in FFDShow. Any ideas?

One thing, I've got Windows Media Player 12, not sure if I had ver. 11 before or not. Would that make a difference?

I'm at my wit's end! I reinstalled WMP 11 in place of ver.12 which was a real pain in the a_ _, and no change. The encoder changes with the latest BD-RB to "Switching to FFMS2.DLL for decoding", works until 2nd pass and crashes about halfway through.. any suggestions?

Hey Orange, try using an older version of the program. I am using a version that came out in January. I figure, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The problem appears to be with tsmuxer. Is this a movie on or a full backup. Whichever it is give the other a try if you hadn't already. I'll give it some review and see if something else comes to mind since I haven't had that error.

Hey Soph, I'm doing full backup but I did try "movie only" and got the same error. This error is mentioned here some, but it's posted quite a bit on Doom 9, and I think I tried every fix, lol, but so far no luck. The prevailing thought is the VC-1 / WMP 11 conflict. The FFMS2.DLL on the last 2 BD-RB versions seems to be working but I'd sure like to get X264 working again, it's quicker too. Anything you can come up with is greatly appreciated, as always.

binmax, yep, I tried that too, but only to ver. 27.01 (????) or so. Maybe I didn't go back far enough. It's been working since the 1st time I used it so this is really aggravating. If you think of anything else let me know and I'll post whatever I find out. Thanx.

BTW, does anyone know how to find the hidden FFMS2 setting in BD-RB?

I haven't used any yet but my guess is that they are added to the BDREBUILDER.INI file.

Ordered some arctic silver 5, and on closer inspection suspect my run of the mill intel heatsink and fan wasnt sitting correctly, have cleaned it up, applied the as5, pc now running perfectly and no more stopping, obviously was an overheating problem, thanks for the advice again!

    Hello Big0.
Are your still having that error about switching to FFMS2.dll, although you mentioned you've tried many fixes, then did you try setting in ffdshow codecs for the "H264?AVC = ffmpeg-m-t".

    Hope for the Best

    Edit:
ffdshow video codec setting for H.264/AVC to ffmpeg-mt.

Another report of a fix for the problems was in regards that one had installed MultiAVCHD , so it was removed and so were the errors. If you don't have MultiAVCHD, then it seems that similar programs and other goodness get installed and updated, then can cause issues with BD-RB. Best to keep things slim and proper on a very short path for amazing results with BD-RB. :)

    Hope for the best.

    hey Chiamos

Thanx for the suggestion, I had to download a newer version of FFDshow and then I changed the setting H.264/AVC to ffmpeg-mt but that didnt help. I tried a complete reinstall of Win 7, unfortunately it now automatically installs WMP 12 instead of ver.11 like it did back in the spring. So I'm going to reinstall WMP 11 (no easy feat) and see if that coupled with this fix in FFDshow will make a difference. Thanx again, appreciate all input. Why I didn't leave Win 7 alone when it was working I'll never know, sheer lunacy on my part. :>)

Soph, I already checked the ini. file and didn't see anything, thanx for the suggestion though, at least everyone is putting on their thinking caps and I'm willing to try anything. Now that Win 7 is ready for retail I'm sure jdobbs will come up with a solution sooner or later. bigO

    Bigo

There won't necessarily be anythinng there. You will have to add the settings (commands)yourself. You can ask BD RB to do any number of things by adding commands to the ini.file. I'm fairly certain that is where you need to look.

I haven't had that happen yet but when audio goes out of sync with video it is usually a muxing issue. Are you backing up to NTSC or PAL?

I should have been a little clearer. What I meant was do you live in North America which uses the NTSC standard or Europe which uses PAL?
