Damn, tinner45, it's about time to purchase a new BD player. How old is it? I stopped using standalone players and built two HTPC's with BD players and with a High Definition Tuner and Beyond TV to make it a complete player and DVR solution. Good luck!

Hi Soph, long time no hear.

I rip all my DVD's and Blu-Rays to 2 2TB drives, which are in docking stations, consequently I can take them to any TV, or on a road trip with little fuss. I play them through WD Live Plus. And they are only turned on when needed. Each drive contains about 300 movies.

The player is kind old. I got the disc I ordered. It wouldn't play either. Bought a new one (I thought would work) I thought it would play BR It said BR 3D and BR. I don't most of the stuff you named because I'm not that into it. I have alot of movies but anymore they don't have very many good movies. Must be my age. I'm going to return the one I bought and get another one.

I've been off working on new projects which I've had to put aside for a while. I occasionally lurk for a minute or two but for the most part I rarely float this way. Good to hear from.

I'm curious, what is the model number of your BD player? I agree a lot of the movies released these days just don't cut it. Many of them are made for visual thrill seekers who no interest in the characters and story line.

"sony BDP-S300" It's time to move on and get a new player. You would think that since Sony is the reason HD DVD was replaced by Blu Ray that their products would work perfectly ,but that's not how things worked out.

I would believe something is wrong with your rip, "- Encode failed. Aborting".

Were there no errors when running AnyDVD? Are you using the latest AnyDVD, 7.2.1.0?
